You are kinda correct. The “Dutch Oven”

Is very versatile when cooking. It can be used in almost every type of heating. It’s most useful feature is that the vessel heats evenly, Non convection ovens never heat evenly, the “dutch ovens” ppl use at home create even heat.

What I mean about being kinda right, all of my cookware is used in the oven, on the eyes, on the grill, and any other way I choose. Any thick walled/based pot with a lid, is considered to be a “Dutch Oven”. I know them as a Rondo.

The howitzers of cooking are the 1200-1600 deg broilers steakhouses use. 😉
