Shaker Knit was the horse that tripped over Mr. Nickerson

"Chris Antley, his jockey, suffered a broken collarbone from being thrown to the track. Shaker Knit, a horse who tripped over the fallen Mr. Nickerson, suffered serious injuries."

It appears that neither horses lived, "He was in the booth at Belmont when Mr. Nickerson collapsed with a burst artery in his lung and Shaker Knit fell over him in the Sprint. Both horses didn't survive, with Shaker Knit dying the next day."
