If the Big Ten goes to 16 they'll do PODS as well.

What is important is the addition of interesting rivalry games, and most of the Big Ten would have more interest playing Oklahoma and Kansas than any other choices in the east. All you have to do is read the media stories written about Rutgers and Maryland. They express a lot of frustration with those additions. Doubling down on Syracuse and Boston College will be protested. Oklahoma and Kansas will be accepted.

They can set up PODS that recreate the rivalries you mention plus have the 1 or 2 game cross division games to address the rest. With 16 members, you play 7 in your division. That leaves other games from the other division.
