ND had the second most wins for softball in the ACC.

ND went 34-23, finishing second to FSU in the Atlantic division.

It beat #17 Michigan in the regionals, the first school since Super Regional era began in 2005 to knock off the Skunkbears prior to the regional finals.

#16 Kentucky beat ND to win that regional.

Notre Dame closed its 2018 season with six victories over national top-25 foes, taking three games from Michigan (February 17-18), one from Florida State (April 29) and two from Minnesota (Feb. 17-18).

The Irish reached a regional final for the 11th time in 17 seasons under head coach Deanna Gumpf.

I agree that ND and others need to step it up, but ND softball is not that bad of a program right now.
