It looks like the ACC Network has its first carriage agreement in place

I have attached a very good article from Andrew Bucholtz of Awful Announcing that discusses how even the most conservative of estimates will place ACC Networks ahead of the Pac 12 once the network is up and running in 2019.

Also of interest is that the network has its first carrier in Altice. All of you up in the NYC area will have the luxury of not being asked to badger your pay TV operator to carry the network. It is interesting that the ESPN stunt to place College Gameday in Times Square had a lot to do with the negotiations that were taking place between Altice and Disney regarding carrying the network.

Let's hope this starts a good trend and that we will be reading about carriage agreements that include Comcast, Charter (Spectrum), Cox, AT&T (Direct) and Dish. AT&T and Dish agreements should also include DirecTV Now and Sling for all of the cord cutters out there. Also I am very curious to find out if they will try to get a deal with Google to carry on YouTube.
