Fans don't understand that, but the strategic partnership with ESPN was the key. ACC had the deal for the long time with ESPN HOWEVER, ESPN wanted to kick the network model with the SEC and then bring in the ACC. Now was this is opening up, we are seeing the operation.

Some fans wanted no 'strategic partnership; they wanted cold bidding wars and the best company wins, and yeah that might have gotten short term more cash, but long term this is arrangement with DISNEY is much better. ESPN been doing this for a long time
