I highly recommend Global Entry or TSA Pre

I'd go Global Entry even if you don't play to travel internationally. It's only $15 more and comes in really handy if you do go abroad.

Never let your company book travel if at all possible. Hotels are a bit of a crapshoot unless you know the area. I always try to stay in the same brand to maximize my points.

And, although I'm not very good at it, try not to eat like crap. Mix in a salad or a light meal every now and then.
