The problem with Team USA is the talent pipeline. It's improving a lot


but Alex Ferguson couldn't turn this squad into a WC contender. We really need someone with an eye for building the pipeline and the future. Germany reorganized its youth system and required its professional clubs to have UEFA qualified coaches in its youth systems and established quotas for the amount of youth players and $ spent.

Their 2014 WC victory is thought to have been born out of their reorganization.
