Yes and no. Problem is the focus on winning rather than development.


You take a kid like that...yeah, he can score. But can he create?. A lot of kids in the US can score at the age of 10, 11, 12, 13....but are they being developed into all around futballers? Are they forced to play out of their "comfortable" position and learn to make decisions quickly and be more well rounded players. The problem with soccer in the US is the technical development at those early ages often takes a backseat to "winning" because the club or organization needs to attract new players (aka...$$$).
