Usually, however, the players you describe are scoring by brute force


I was one of those players -- I was a half foot taller than everyone through sixth grade and was putting the ball in the net 20, 25 times a season. When people caught up to me, I wasn't nearly as good because I didn't have the skills.

But when you're not the biggest and strongest but are still scoring, every level you go to -- that's an indication that you have the all-around skills for the game.
