As long as they realize they are saying they want to get into show business

Being a youtuber is basically this generation's version of wanting to go to Hollywood and become an actor.

I will grant that being a youtuber doesn't have the barriers to entry that getting a break in Hollywood does. You can be successful without knowing someone (or sleeping with someone).

But you still have to have talent. You are still aspiring to be both the producer and actor in your own production. Being engaging, coming up with fresh ideas, and putting on a good enough show to get enough hits to make a career of it isn't easy.

Heck, ask Will and Chris how hard it is sometimes to come up with content and present it well. They look like they are living-the-dream of talking about VT sports year-round as a career, but that doesn't mean it isn't an awful lot of work.

If someone wants to be a youtuber because they want to be their own production company, that is one thing. But if they want to do it because they don't want a real job, they are likely in for a very rude awakening.
