I could see this happening:

Big Ten East: UMCP, Rutgers, PSU, OSU, MSU, UM, Indiana and Purdue
Big Ten West: illinois, NW, UW, Minn, Iowa, ISU, UNL, Kansas

ACC (1): UVa, UNC, NCSU, Duke, WF, Clemson, GT & VT
ACC (2): Miami, FSU, WVU, UL, Pitt, SU & BC (leaving #8 for ND who will never join but would probably get even more special treatment to participate in this conference title while remaining independent)

SEC East: UF, UGa, USC-e, UT, UK, Vandy, Bama & Auburn
SEC West: Ole Miss, MSU, Mizzou, Ark, LSU, aTm, OU and Ok St

Big XII: UT, TT, TCU, Baylor, KSU, Colorado, Utah, BYU, BSU & UNLV
PAC: USC, UCLA, Cal, Stanford, ASU, Zona, UO, OSU-w, UW & Wazou.

Each grouping will have the champion of each play one another to vie for CFP
