or more to the point GoFundMe doesn't care, you can put up a picture of little Timmy with a bald head and say he has cancer please donate and then when people find out this was a picture of another kid who died 15 years ago, GFM is going to say that they only provide a platform and are not responsible for its veracity. Likewise, its not the local police departments responsibilty to arrest people for lying and again, I see that here, the court case is to get Mr Bobbit the money that was for him, in theory he shouldn't get anything because HE WAS IN ON THE SCAM. So the scam isn't being prosecuted, just the mechanics of who gets the money.

Anyway, I would have never trusted the mechanics of GFM anyway, and besides even if was true, GFM is taking a pretty nice cut of that cash. Free money really.
