I'm an accountant for multiple companies.

I do payroll and expense reimbursements. Two days before payroll i send an email reminder to the team to make sure their time is logged. Then when i go to do payroll i go to the timesheet program (whichever one tge company uses) and download the time. If its not there you dont get paid. I have some clients that we need the timecard to be DCAA compliant and we actually do billing based on time.We have to be tough.

Same with expenses reimbursements. I send an email reminder that i am clising the books for the previous month and all expenses should be submitted by a certain date. If they arent, you might get a hold put on your corporate credit card or you might have to wait until next time i do expense reports to get paid, which could be a month.
