Funny story. My mom's friend was in line at the DMV in DC.

Guy with a New Mexico license was trying to get a DC one.

The lady wouldn't accept it. She wouldn't accept a drivers license from another country. Friend said everyone in the line was just snickering at how stupid this woman was.

So he asks to see the supervisor. Supervisor comes over and reiterates that they won't accept a drivers license from another country and if he's a US citizen, he needs to present a passport then as ID. Otherwise he'll have to proof residence and take all the tests like everyone else.

Unreal.
