Similar thing happened to my Husky last year, she suddenly stopped eating

Three cats and a dog have taught me that when a small animal suddenly stops eating its an extremely bad sign. They thought the cause was a cyst on one of her organs that was pushing on her stomach. The surgery to remove the cyst which was successful, but then while she was open they found a cancerous tumor on a different organ (sigh). After the surgery she wouldn't eat anything...except cat food. She ate the cat food for 2 months and gained back most of the weight she had lost. But eventually she stopped eating that too and her legs started to fail and we had to put her down. Horrible times.

I really hope your situation works out better.
