I'm getting the impression that it's not 'rogue' per se, but an 'allowable


tactic'.

I never go to Facebook for reviews, but I did today with this company. There's a lot of glowing reviews out there attached to real names. Then there are also a lot of people complaining about the same experience we had, naming the salesperson we had.

So this one guy has a lot of complaints, while 1 or 2 other salespeople named in these reviews don't. Yet this guy still works there....so he must have a good close rate at a good price for them.

So it doesn't appear to be a company trained tactic (because they don't all do it), but it sure looks like it's a tolerated tactic, if you're a closer.
