AAU only has 11 members in the southern states...

5 AAU members in the ACC, 4 in the SEC, 3 in the Big 12, 8 in the Pac-12, and 13 in the Big Ten. The Boston area has 4 members. California has 8 member schools. Northeast has 18 members. In the South, VA has I, NC has 2, GA has 2, FL has 1, TN as 1, LA has 1, and TX has 3. Arizona State and Utah are working hard to join the club. AAU membership is a major goal for 3 ACC schools, NC State, FSU, and VA Tech. I don't know if Clemson talks about it as much as the other 3 ACC schools? UGA is the SEC's best bet to be a future AAU member. Oklahoma is the Big 12's best bet for AAU membership. Other schools like Cincinnati, South Florida, Auburn, Kentucky, and LSU talk about AAU membership goals.
