Hmm, almost in line with my thinking....

I did not know a league even existed much less two leagues. The Canadians had one that recently folded. They were hoping to join the North American league in the US similar to the NHL, but the women are demanding better pay and health care insurance.

I get the health care insurance and I believe the league offered half of whatever revenue is generated by sponsorships but I imagine that is not a ton of money.

I think a lot of people forget how successful leagues get started, the first/second "generation" people get paid peanuts until it becomes successful. Early NFL players had regular jobs and played football "on the side" until the league became wildly successful.
