This is different than US women's soccer team case, IMO

I bet most people don't even know there is a women's hockey league. I didn't. And I would bet money that the economics of women's hockey are dismal. So unless they aren't, and owners are skimming megaprofits and leaving the women crumbs, there is no case here.

In contrast, the US women's soccer team is high profile and wins World Cups. It's true that men's soccer brings in more money globally, but that's not due to the US men's team. In the US the women's team is a huge draw while the men's team muddles along. The women's team sells out every time it comes to Denver. I could get behind pay equity for the US women's soccer team, given market appeal and economics.
