I never thought about the full grown tree height until I had my big pines taken down. It doesn't make any difference if it's a tree or a shrub, I take a hard look at the full grown size before I plant anything.

There are plenty of people in my neighborhood who planted trees that outgrew their locations. One house had two "full size" (25-30' mature) Japanese maples that were planted within a couple feet of their house many years ago, and they're constantly cutting the house side back.

I have one tree that needs to come out, and I need a tree service to remove it. That will probably happen this spring.
