Just like I'm sure we all know a chainsmoker who lived to 90. Doesn't mean smoking isn't bad for you.

As for eggs in particular, I remember seeing somewhere that even though they are high in dietary cholesterol, it isn't in a form that the body metabolizes into artery linings. If you aren't obese and are reasonably fit, I doubt eggs will be what kills you.

In my specific case, I'm not sure I could have lost 50# without eggs. And there is no way eggs are worse for my health than 50 extra pounds.
