You might want to take her to the stores to find one she needs. Make sure she is OK with the size and the feel of the keys on the keyboard. Most keys on these inexpensive machines are pretty much crap anyway, so there isn't a lot of choice here.

If I had to guess, would go with no larger than a 13" display. When you get into 15" displays, they're approaching the "too large to carry around school" size. Also make sure the Chromebook you buy will fit into her locker at school.

Whatever you buy, make sure you get a nice large VT sticker to place on the top. Make sure you align it properly to be upright when she's working on the device. :)
