terrible. If they had to play better franchises twice a year over the past 20 years, they'd have a few more losses, and possibly a few less division wins.

2008 is a great example. The Dolphins put it together and the Patriots ended up actually missing the playoffs with an 11-5 record. They have 6 games against the rest of their division, and over the past 2 decades, the Bills have 1 WC, Dolphins 2 plus Div win and the Jets 5 WCs and 1 Division win (None in the last decade). They aren't competing against playoff teams for 1/3 of their schedule.

Again, my point was not that I don't think the Patriots are good, it's that the other 3 franchises absolutely suck and don't even challenge them for the division anymore.
