Right, the Jet and Dolphins win more against the Pats, imagine if they


were good franchises and won more against other teams too? They aren't though, they've been pitiful franchises for over a decade.

I think you are missing my point here. The other teams in the Pats division can't win enough games outside of playing the Patriots to be remotely relevant. The Steelers, Ravens and Bengals have done that numerous times over the past decade to be in the playoffs. You don't have to beat a single team in your division twice to make the playoffs. However, you do have to win at least 10 games in a season (generally). The Bills haven't done that since '99, and the Dolphins and the Jets have done it 5 times each since 2000.

For reference, the NFC North teams have had this many 10 win seasons since 2000:
Baltimore: 10
Pittsburgh: 12
Cincinnati: 6
Cleveland: 1

Edit: I also see where I was confusing by saying if the Pats had to play the Ravens and Steelers. That's my fault. I meant if they had to be in the same division with those guys.
