TIC. It is rough not having AC when you really need it. Our unit died about 7 years ago on the Friday before 4th of July, when my daughter was less than 2 months old. I came home from work and found the house was about 84 degrees inside. The problem ended up being a bad contactor in the outdoor unit, but I wasn't able to get it repaired for several days because it was a holiday weekend. Luckily I have some contacts and was able to at least get a window unit to use for the interim period, so we didn't totally melt.
