Edge, have you ever used drilled/slotted rotors before?

I installed a set of drilled/slotted rotors on my truck last fall and immediately noticed a "clicking" sound when coasting to a stop. At first I thought I had installed something incorrectly, but after giving it some thought, I decided it must be the new pads "dragging" a tiny bit across the surface of the rotors, and the clicking sound was generated every time a slot passed across the surface of the pads. It's subsided over time as the pads have worn, so I feel pretty safe in assuming that my hunch was correct, but I'm curious if you/anyone else has ever encountered that.
