I agree with this...

along the lines that everyone dies in Rouge One not knowing if any of it was worth it. And off-stage Leia has little idea how much went on but knows to carry on the effort. Fills in nicely the conenient fact that the death star had a flaw that oculd be exploited.

The only movie that touches on say, having faith.
