ITs a big university deal at Rutgers

The university is totally split. 50-50. The price of big ten program is huge, and just to be competitive NOT a champion. The university academically is very good and university is balanced on do they want to invest 100 of million of dollars for athletics (which are donations that do not go to other university endeavors) or jump into it . Especially with collegiate sports so unstable.

They frankly got a life preserver with the reach out of the big ten, and really this is going to be problem program for the big ten., (all for the New york market)... Big ten gives them a subsidy to survive but thats it.

Rutgers is worse, and maryland is a little bit better but same answer.

This is why the ACC is so good, alot of similar programs with good solid balance of athletics and academics, and all very competitive programs. (except clemson).... Maryland will find it made a huge mistake and with no turning back. Rutgers never had a chance. This is why Notre Dame (in the halls of south bend) really like the ACC (not the alumni)
