Praying for that young lady


What an awful situation. I know in some instances if a kid has certain medical conditions and it has been documented in court before she turns 18 that some child support can actually extend past 18 years of age. However, if those disabilities or medical illnesses are not made known in a court of law by the kids 18th birthday then you cannot go and apply them retroactively.

Not a fun process but the best place for her to check would be with the state Department of Children and Families. Even though she is 18 they will know the different state agencies or local groups that can help her get through that difficult process. Praying for that young lady. What an awful thing to have to go through.
