Here is different advice

This is exactly what domestic abuse organizations are for. My wife just left to volunteer at one and help answer the hot line.

Your story is close, but not as bad as one my wife has told about an 18 year old.

They will guide her in how to handle the situation for her. They will just want her safe and point her to the social services for medicaid (if she makes less than 17k a year she is qualified). I suspect they will try to help her without police involvement and are better suited to determine if to get police involved, but she would have to give them permission.

They will put her in a shelter that no one is allowed to know where it is located but that would include the boyfriend. Thus, her not having transportation means she can not depend on friends but have to use public transportation from the women's home.

It sounds like she needs her belongings and getting to social services. I could be wrong, but this is a good start if in Fairfax.

You could even call to get your answers (i.e. I am calling about this x,y situation and want to get her the correct advice without giving a name)

Good luck.
