I could be mistaken but the $58 is to pay off the bike over 2-3 years interest free. The monthly fee is $39 dollars which not only includes the cycling class but also a app that has a whole bunch of runs, walks, HIIT, yoga, etc. classes. We did not buy anything but the bike, the shoes, heart monitor, etc. can all be done 3rd party and cheaper. Why we did it.

1. My wife and I can pay for a gym membership until the end of time and never go
2. This pays for itself in 3-4 years if you consider gym memberships
3. Allows us to work out in the morning before work, we have young kids
4. Love it for winter months, use it even more, probably less in the spring/summer when it is nice out, but still use it 2-3 times a week
4. Works for us

I also have a water rower which I use for overall body workout.

Understand it seems and looks pretentious from the commercials, but doesn't feel that way when riding it and competing with yourself to get better. We use it and have had it for 2 years now, to each his own I guess.
