Experiencing failure is one of the best things that can happen to a kid so

long as he or she has support at home. Parents who live vicariously through their children’s athletics and berate them for a bad game or a loss are hurting their children’s development. Those parents are the worst. Participation trophy parents aren’t doing their kids any favors either.
