A big conflict of interest has taken over baseball too.

Many of the high school coaches run travel teams or training centers. And if you don’t play or pay them it makes it hard to make a team they control the cuts on. Baseball isn’t the only sport doing this. I think high school coaches who control the cut process and lineups for high school teams should not be in a position where kids who don’t want to play that sport all year round and can’t afford the travel or training centers can’t make their own high school teams.
