The 4/5 matches will go a long way in determining VT’s placement

If you win the 4/5 match only to lose in the semis, then you still get to face the 6 seed in consolation semis. Generally that is going to be a weak Duke wrestler for placement with a golden opportunity for bonus points.

On the other hand, a loss in the 4/5 match has you facing the loser of the 2/3 match in the consolation semis and your chances to place, much less get bonus points, takes a massive hit.

Prata, Gerardi, BC, and Borst all have tough first round matches and those are all going to be huge for the team.
