1. As below, I've cancelled my wedding party. I've minimized my interactions with others. All shopping online. All food cooked at home, groceries delivered. I do have obligations to my patients so I go to work.

2. I did not self-quarantine because H1N1 is nothing like Covid aside from the fact that they're both coronaviruses. They shouldn't be in the same conversation.

3. The idea that China is some third world backwater when it comes to medicine is wrong. In some ways like cancer care, they're WAY ahead of us. Regardless, the experience of Italy should inform what we do in the US. Lombardy is a modern well-to-do area of Italy with modern health care.

4. If it was only about me, I wouldn't be so "panicky" about this. I am worried about myself (because younger people have died from this, and we do not know the long term impact on people's lungs from this infection) but I'm more worried about the rest of the country. I do not want to spread this to other people who are more susceptible than me.
