I just don't know which one that is.

TIC. I'm in the same boat, although I'm mainly playing with cash in my Vanguard retirement account, so I'm mainly focused on index funds. I have a little bit of money free in a couple of IRAs so I've been trying to decide if I want to pick up some individual stocks, or just stick with ETFs. I should probably dedicate one account to dividend company stocks and use the other for ETFs. It seems like Amazon, Costco, or any producer of simple staples that humans can't do without would be a good long-term play right now.
