I'm on a couple of company task force teams that meet multiple times a day to discuss specific incidents and constantly changing guidance. CDC changes its website every day as it learns and adjusts. And this week CDC is starting to talk about reopening society. But ...

If you read its guidance carefully, they are talking specifically about businesses that need to reopen before they go under - because they have to. It's a nod to economics vs. health. Which is I assume testimony to the pressure the CDC is under to support a return to normal.

But if you talk to other organizations who aren't facing imminent financial difficulties (like my employer), they are saying nope, way too soon, just chill and let's wait and see what happens. Universities are beginning to say publicly no in-person classes until Jan 2021 (Boson U announced today),

So officially two separate paths. This is no doubt going to confuse the general public, and the media and its tiny attention span won't help. We have a senior who is headed to college in the fall, and we have no idea what will happen. I'm glad to have a job though.
