I listened to this yesterday morning. Guest is a Nobel prize winning chemist / data analytics professor from Stanford & the host is an engineer. I think the podcast in “normal” times is about diet.

They don’t get political, and they talk more about Europe than they do USA. Host is in Dublin.

They look at the numbers. Compare places with varying levels of lockdowns. The flu is mentioned a lot for comparison reasons.

If you don’t want to listen, conclusion is basically wear a mask (that’s a great form of social distancing), and limit the number of people, but certainly not on the levels we are seeing now.

The Professor from Stanford is Michael Levitt

Michael Levitt, FRS[13] (Hebrew: מיכאל לויט‎; born 9 May 1947) is an American-British-Israeli-South African[2] biophysicist and a professor of structural biology at Stanford University, a position he has held since 1987.[14][15] Levitt received the 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry,[16] together with Martin Karplus and Arieh Warshel, for "the development of multiscale models for complex chemical systems".
