That's not surprising, it still has basic properties of a virus


The key has always been, the virus needs an entry point and that is the facial region of people. So it is either airborne particles or people bringing the virus to their face with their hands that leads to infections. Surfaces are definitely a carrier, but have never been a major form of spreading except for people who just can't stop touching their face (it's harder to do than you might think).

I wonder if people even remember the point of the 6' social distancing rule. That is the approximate radius that droplets can spread from a cough or sneeze. It is not a magical number, but a general guideline to help lower the risk of catching an airborne virus from others. The masks help further reduce the potential airborne spread from me (if I cough) or from you (limits the number of particles that get to me if you cough).
