If you are traveling on a plane I would wear nothing

less than an N95 mask. Yes, they kinda suck. But they will protect you. An airplane environment is one of the worst places to be. Anything with side vent is to protect others from you. Will offer you next to no protection. There are some dual layer cloth masks that offer some protection and would likely be fine to wear to the store. I bought some "Inspire" branded ones from Amazon that are comfortable and well made.
