Everything you say (and read) could be correct, but odds would still say


that there is intelligent life on other planets.

IE, someone posted a story about a "Deep Space / Deep Look" photo taken by the Hubble. It focused on a spot in the sky that was as big as a grain of sand if you held it at arm's length and took a picture over 14 days or something like that. In that grain of sand sized area, they found over 3,000 galaxies. Now multiply 3,000 galaxies by billions of grains of sand in a spherical view around us and you have (might as well be) infinite galaxies, infinite solar systems, infinite planets.

The conditions that arose on earth, or close enough to them, MUST exist out there somewhere. Or, as q keeps pointing out, it's also possible that 'life' is possible beyond our own definition of it.
