How's your Spanish? I went to USA vs MEX soccer game there.
Craziest crowd pregame for any football or Futbol game I've ever attended. It was 80% for MEX vs 20% USA. USA won by 2-0. At the time, I coached soccer in Annandale VA, so I was pretty close to the soccer culture, but this took the MEX soccer culture to a whole new level...nasty fans, but I had a great time.
San Antone is certainly a large LatAm culture and history, which is why I started with Spanish speaking being part of fitting in there. I was there for business once while they had a festival going on. Seems to be a lot of tourists so you have that aspect to consider too.
Food...beyond the TexMex, the BBQ is incredible. Yum.
