Speaking of demonstrations and protests, buckle up, if history prevails.

Not many here have openly posted they hit the streets in the mid-to-late 60s protests, so chime in now if you like. Yes, I did.

Those of you who've sat at your parents' or grandparents' knees marveling at their tales of rebellion with purpose, check any box you want now if you've pursued the family legacy. If not, do you think you honor and enrich your heritage by proving your bravado on a message board?

Anyway, protest street life began then in the late 60s and pretty much lost steam by 1973 or 4 after Tr. Dick resigned and the US came back from Nam.

There were ongoing campus demonstrations and numerous town and urban marches across America over a period of 5-7 years. I recall taking a Soc class at Tech my last year from Prof. Russ Crescimanno, entitled "Crowds and Civil Disorders", where we had Cadets, weak-kneed libs and shoeless, shirtless revolutionary Yippies all discussing what was going on. And nobody got hassled and nobody got cancelled and nobody got trashed or beaten. Even in the "Love It or Leave It" years.

Are you up for four to six more years of this now?
