Yeah, we had just gone down there for the fireworks

Dad's job got transferred to the DC area the previous Fall. What does everyone tell newbies to the area to do on Fourth of July... why "go down to the mall for the fireworks" they say. I was 10, three younger brothers were 8, 6, and 4 and I think we even had a neighbor kid or two with us. Then the protesters started turning over police cars and such and boom, we all got tear gassed.
