Is there some breakthrough treatment of which we are yet unaware?

Are they hospitalizing people more frequently or sooner to get ahead on treatment before it's too late? Early on, you had to be well and truly sick before they'd admit you. Are they admitting people with lesser symptoms now? If so, that might also explain why hospital capacity issues aren't really yet.

Or is this just time lag? The hospitalization uptick looks to lag the case increases by a week or so. If that's all it is, then one would expect that a deaths increase which lags hospitalization would start to manifest ... soon.

I am hopeful that my second point is most of it
