I called three doctors this weekend. All work at large hospitals in the

Western half of SC. I asked all three about ICU capacity. They said it occupancy was negligible.

If you watch our news at night you’d swear there are covid bodies in the street. I’ve been tracking how many folks I know that have tested positive and have made me aware of it. Six weeks ago I was at 1. Now I’m at 43. Only one person hospitalized of that group. They were out in a couple of days. They have diabetes.
The other 42 had mild symptons. Most have told me they had headaches, running noses, coughs and even watery eyes. Recovery time as short as 8 hours. Longest was 10 days. Interesting is that most I have spoken too did not have it spread through the family. It appears some may not be as susceptible to it as multiple members of the same house don’t get it even when someone with it is stuck at home with it. Some research says folks with prior corona virus exposure may have less symptoms and quicker recoveries as well.

We’ve seen infections that were based out of a nail salon too. Everyone who works there has worn masks anyway. The customers were required to wear them too, but both employees and customers both got the virus. So I’d say all the folks who think wearing masks at grocery stores is going to eradicate this virus are probably going to be disappointed.

Sounds like we’ll flatline around 60,000 cases a day for awhile. The good news is that’s a lot far off the March/APril peaks if you assume we only tested 8% of those cases as the CDC does. That would put peak cases in April at a high day of 412,500.
