Can’t save the world and you can rarely change someone who has low self esteem and chooses to play the system. Wifey and I got custody of her granddaughter cause her Mom is on drugs and alcohol. She chose the same path and despite our best efforts chose to hang with bad kids and act out. Continuous lies, poor effort, drugs, eventual assault of her grandmother, on the street, rehab, boarding school, thrown out for drugs, etc. we’ve spent a fortune and done all we can. She totaled one car and wrecked two others of mine. Got a DUI and my car impounded and wrecked.
We are done and it is liberating and sad at the same time. She will kill someone or herself if she drives... won’t be in a car of mine. She will get herself hurt badly with the friends she has chosen. Will be a long hard life.
