My wife is complaining about wifi connection in house. I have cable

internet with the main modem and router upstairs. I was thinking of trying to run ethernet to my wife's downstairs computer and I have several connected but unused coax wall outlets. Can a run a second ethernet off of one of those outlets? What is the best way to do this? I don't know much about networking set-up, so i'd prefer plug and play if possible. Thanks
