Believe me it's been done previously. I speak from first hand experience
and often his response was "I go where the data takes me" or something about how he was unbiased or had no agenda which is obviously not the case or with me simply ignoring or dismissing any evidence that contradicted him. I could (and have) countered with evidence showing that Sweden's approach isn't the rosy picture he paints it to be but it's simply not worth it. He was chirping about Sweden "almost" achieving herd immunity months ago and when that was disputed and eventually proven inaccurate (as admitted by Sweden itself) there was not a peep from him about it. But again the issue here is that he's tried to present himself as some one who has no opinion and is just presenting the facts which is half-true at best.
He's not the only person who only posts charts and graphs and studies that point a certain way but he's one of the few that refuses to outright admit his own bias. Personally I don't usually link to any of that for a couple reasons. Mostly because things change quickly with this... localities that were doing well suddenly start seeing spikes and vice versa. So the study or the country or the approach or whatever that you trumpet as good news today might be debunked, disproven, or reversed by this time next week. I also personally don't think the US is a good comparison with really any other country out there. The way our country is set up and made up combined with the number of people, the size of the country, and the population diversity makes us unique as far as challenges we face.
